Ethical Challenges Treating the Medically Fragile Child: Department of Pediatrics and Human Development Grand Rounds

Center for Ethics Director Tom Tomlinson will join Department of Pediatrics and Human Development Professors Jane Turner and Yakov Sigal to present on the topic: Ethical Challenges Treating the Medically Fragile Child for the department’s Grand Rounds on Thursday, October 11 at 8 am.

This session is meant to promote: understanding of the variety of difficult treatment decisions arising in the care of severely developmentally disabled and medical fragile children; appreciation of important differences between these decisions and those made for seriously ill newborns; understanding of some key ethical principles and perspectives useful for addressing these treatment decisions.
This lecture will be held at the Sparrow Hospital Auditorium.
