Center for Ethics Director Tom Tomlinson will join Department of Pediatrics and Human Development Professors Jane Turner and Yakov Sigal to present on the topic: Ethical Challenges Treating the Medically Fragile Child for the department’s Grand Rounds on Thursday, October 11 at 8 am.
This session is meant to promote: understanding of the variety of difficult treatment decisions arising in the care of severely developmentally disabled and medical fragile children; appreciation of important differences between these decisions and those made for seriously ill newborns; understanding of some key ethical principles and perspectives useful for addressing these treatment decisions.
This lecture will be held at the Sparrow Hospital Auditorium.
